READ 180 is a reading intervention for students who are reading two or more years below grade level.  It is a lab course and there are no homework assignments for this class.

READ 180 students spend 20 minutes each day in whole group instruction and 20 minutes in small group instruction.

READ 180 students spend 20 minutes each day working on software activities set for their instructional reading level as determined by the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI).

READ 180 students spend 15 minutes each day reading a book at their independent reading level as determined by the SRI. 

READ 180 students spend 10 minutes in Whole Group Wrap-Up each day reviewing the major topics that were discussed that school day.

AUGUST  2017

Both classes started off the school year learning  Question Answer Relationships (QAR). Parent training is available about QAR.  This strategy is very helpful in answering questions for assignments as well as tests.
