- Free Technology Resources for the Classroom
The following resources may be used in the classroom to enhance your lessons and student achievement. If you use another web site or tool, feel free to e-mail me or add a comment to keep this area as up-to-date as possible.
Infuse Learning -- http://teacher.infuselearning.com/
Infuse Learning allows the teacher and students to interact during classroom discussions and activities. Students log on (at student.infuselearning.com) using the teacher's room code to connect to the class. Once connected, students are able to answer true/false, multiple choice, short answer, and even writing response questions. They are also able to draw a picture as a response that may be viewed by the class. This tool works great with interactive white boards and is a free alternative to "classroom clickers."
Jing allows teachers to take screenshots or record a screencast (which could be a PowerPoint session with your recorded comments) up to five minutes long. These images or video clips may then be uploaded to your Moodle for students to view.
Screencast-o-Matic -- http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/
Screencast-o-Matic is a user-friendly program that allows teachers to record computer screen videos up to 15 minutes long. It may also be used by students in the classroom to make videos for presentations. Screencast-o-Matic videos also are compatible with Moodle to allow students to view your presentations at any time.
