  • Week 1

Welcome to the first week of Chorale!  During this week, we will work on establishing routines and learn about the policies and procedures of having choir with Mr. Robinson.  The Choral Department Handbook will be distributed, as will the calendar.  We will also do voice checks to make sure that everyone is singing the voice part they should!  Once we get to know each other and go over everything, we will start to work on music for our fall concert.

Signed Student and Parent Acknowledgement sheets, found at the back of the Choral Department Handbook, must be returned to Mr. Robinson by Friday August 18th.  Thank you!

We are still looking for 4-5 parent chaperones for the Spring Break trip to Los Angeles.  Email Mr. Robinson for details!

Parents, do not hesitate to call (219-836-3200 ext. 3345) or email (asrobinson@munster.us) with trip questions.  If you have not paid the $50 "hold" deposit, please do so ASAP.  The first large payment ($200) is due BY FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH (since October 1st is a Sunday, it must be by this date)!  This is also the day where you must either commit to going on the trip or say you will not.  The tour company set this deadline because they have to purchase the correct number of tickets and reserve hotel rooms.  Refunds will not be available after this time.

    • Week 2

We are busy working on several pieces of music: "Skip to My Lou," "Agnus Dei," "Fionnghuala," "Jubilate Deo," "The Call of Music," "Sing We and Chant It," and "Northern Lights."  We are also learning an arrangement of "The Star-Spangled Banner," which we will sing at sporting events (including the September 8th Homecoming football game).  We set goals for the entire year and constantly refer back to them to keep our focus.
